The first one I would like to tell about the character of the same series of games that came out exclusively for the platform PlayStation. In this video, we’ll talk about how the hero lost cartoon and his hair, how he almost changed his passport and how Russian children helped in creating the game. Cole McGrath was created as a protagonist of the first two parts infamous. The game itself was created in the studio SUCKER PUNCH, which previously became known thanks to a series of arcade platformers about Raccoon-Viru Claus Kupper. And in view of the fact that before that the developers worked on purely cartoon games, the decision to take on a more serious and realistic project looked risky.
However, everything was not so simple. After the release of the third sling, the studio began to look for a new concept of the game. At first it was an adventure action that would unfold on a tropical island full of dangers. And he would be called … Uncharted! And as developers admit, this was just a coincidence, nothing more. Nevertheless, similarity to the project from Naughty Dog I had to avoid the concept of a new game swam towards the superhero.
I did not want to show standard heroes in a little, there were a lot of such template games. The studio did not want to make another person spider or Batman, and even without a comic Beckgrand. The developers went the other way. First they liked the idea of an open world GTA Only with superclines, then they began to depart from excessive comic strokes and other stylistics, coming to a realistic form. The project received a new name – True Hero, and reflected the main leitmotif of the game – a moral choice that characterizes a “real hero”.
The protagonist began with the superpowers with which he will possess. They did not come to electricity control at once, but it was precisely the superlace that blocked everything that I wanted to realize in the gameplay. The hero received a name Gearwolf, In the early prototypes, he looked like a blank in a superhero suit, but a little later it looked like the final option, but with a long hair.

Little is known about the early life of Cole, he escaped from the house, did not master the 6th year in college, and eventually got a job with a courier in work in Empire City. He was not a loner, he lived with his girlfriend named Trish, and sometimes drank a couple of beer cans with Zik.

Life went on its own way until one day a strange order came to Cole – to deliver a bag to an old city by a man named Kesler. Upon arrival at the place, the customer called and promised $ 500 if Cole opens the box. There was a strange device in the box – a radiation sphere that immediately detonated, destroying all living things in a large radius. All but Cole.
The hero is somehow selected from the destroyed city, not without the help of his friend Zik, but loses consciousness. Gradually, Cole becomes better, Trish takes care of it, at the same moment the newly combined superpowers of electricity control. The last Cole is gradually mastering, trying to be useful to society.

Cole gets to the church, charges the inhibitor, but decides to defeat the beast again before activation. Kuo comes and asks to turn on the inhibitor. The world is saved, the plague disappears, but the guides die around the world.
About the hero
Cole in the game itself was created so that it can easily correspond to the path that the player will choose, because it is deprived of the individuality that is inherent in many other characters. Nevertheless, there are several basic characteristics that are visible in the first cat-scenes of the game and in those points where the side is not important. Cole is endowed with the habits of the rebel – rude, but soft with loved ones, is able to repulse, but fair, grunting, but accommodating. And so in almost everything, there is a lot of “but” as opposed to humor, friendliness, composure and other. This set makes the character so alive, in a compartment with the choice of the party himself the player.
Well, the player himself gives the most important characteristics of the character – self -sacrifice, heroism or complete egoism. Non -linearity here is more likely to play a certain path of the hero than a demonstration of the branches of the narrative. The purpose of the game is to give himself a hero with abilities, and they will be aimed at good deeds or at themselves – to decide the player. And it’s great!
Interesting facts
Before Cole McGrath became what we saw him at the beginning of the first part, he went through many metamorphoses. I have already talked about long hair and appointment by courier. Or for example, create an invisible magnetic disk under it and glide on it on a skateboard.
The option was also considered to drown directly into the superhero and make the player look for telephone booths for changing clothes into his steep suit before performing heroic or villainous acts. By the way, the same costumes in early alpha versions could be tuned as in Sims.
The interaction of the hero with the crowd was originally laid in the game. While ready -made sounds have not yet been surrounding NPCs expressed their emotions in the icons above the heads. In addition, it was previously supposed to be affected by their mood by rebuilding different stores.
It is worth noting that at the time of development of the second part, the appearance of Cole wanted to redraw very much.
